After the local success of "Holly Turns To Grey" - a Christamas song I wrote for A Nice Person - I really believed we could have found the time to record "A Reallyt Nice EP". Quite a year passed after I wrote the first song for that project. It was an acoustic melancholic ballad filled with regret and '80s nostalgia called "Penelope and The Mac5". (I guess the first or possibly second song able to impressed Gary Sansom from Duffelcot Records). Days passed becoming ages and I took the chance to finish that marvellous song adding some synth strings and a piano in the second part. Do say I'm really proud of that girl.
lyrics
Take a seat
Stay with me
Grab your favourite can of beer
Say the words
"I recall!"
Trip down our memory road
Though I can't disagree - after all - a bit of it all - did chuck in our world
And I would rather not kick - all that dust - but I really wanna know
Penelope, would she ever beat The Mach 5
Penelope, did she ever had a chance
Penelope, would she ever beat The Mach 5
Penelope, are you ever gonna win
A crock of crap, no it wouldn't change a fact
Penelope, always left me unimpressed
Perfect gloves, bright pink dress
Go-go boots and tight to impress
Glamour gal
Ace of race
Yet a damsel in distress
But you can't figure out clever ways she will get out
Her safety has never been in doubt.
And she's crying "Hayulp"
Baby look at her
And she's crying "Hayulp"
Won't somebody even care
