I think I made a Summer album just to have the chance of writing some slow closing titles for its end. Coming back from the beach always manage to bring along mixed and melancholic feelings while I’m driving home. Blame it on the sunset and some slowmantic (slow+romantic, hey! I just made out a new word!) songs like “Tiny Dancer” or Alice Cooper “You And I”. Guess Beach Boys made it in time to watch the last song of this strange lo-fi indie album fade away.
Hold on tight! Just 2 weeks and and you’ll get pure pop from the next album
lyrics
Everything is quiet
on the sunny road
I think that I’ll stop
by the fountain that I know
Gold lies on the field
sky is shining clear
everything is quiet
and quite unreal
And you and me ain’t no super stars
all we get from night is dark
but we’ve got time to stop and turn the lights and make it allright
back from the beach
Not an in-line skate
near the great wide ditch
do they have forgot
what a place is that
Time to turn around
summer at my back
Will I miss al that?
ignore my concerns
Everything was fine
so fine
Everything was rad
so rad
And you and me ain’t no super stars
all we get from sun are scalds
but we’ve got time to stop and heal our wounds
back from the beach
