Summer 2012 I had the pleasure to become friend with Matteo Bevilacqua, a young movie director from Ravenna. He was a pleausure to write and shoot a music video for "Recording Sarah" with him. Having another DJ friend of min owning the whole Sarah Records catalogue collection was the starting poing for starting to plot on how those disks, pictures and fanzines would have fit in a video about this legendary label from the '80s. Since Sara left the project we needed the singer, and meeting Maddalena Zavatta was a blessing to work on the video and finishing the song as well. I think it was a good alchemy, and as I'm writing this I can't wait to see the video (a popular radio anchorman, dj and blogstar called Enzo "Polaroid" Baruffaldi features as an indie postman).
lyrics
No time was wasted not indeed
The perfect moment meant to be with me
The table settled in a lapse
Hot water turing in a cup of tea
You swear you know the words
I'm drawning into tears
I can't believe we're ready
So start to sing a song
Your jangle indie pop
It's happening already
Recording Sarah, Ah!
Around the World in 80 Dates
Was an excuse to run and fly away
My heart a piece in your board game
keep moving there and back again to play
My Disney Seventeen
With candy rosaries
Is eating jelly-babies
As good as we could be
Blue eyes deceiving me
We're going to go steady
Recording Sarah, Ah!
